01 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat to prevent sticking.
02 - Combine chopped chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl placed over simmering water. Stir gently until fully melted and smooth.
03 - Remove bowl from heat, then fold in chopped nuts and dried fruit if using.
04 - Drop teaspoon-sized dollops of the melted chocolate mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly.
05 - Sprinkle each piece lightly with flaky sea salt, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or until firm.
06 - Once set, transfer chocolate bits to an airtight container and keep at a cool room temperature or refrigerated.
