01 - In a small saucepan, combine milk, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, black pepper, and nutmeg if using.
02 - Warm gently over medium heat, whisking constantly until hot but not boiling, approximately 3 to 4 minutes.
03 - Remove from heat and whisk in honey or maple syrup and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
04 - Froth the mixture using a milk frother or whisk vigorously until foamy.
05 - Pour into mugs and serve immediately, optionally garnished with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
